READING IS A PLEASURE

This year we commemorate the 400th anniversary of Cervantes and William Shakespeare's deaths.

First, we are focusing on Shakespeare as he is considered the greatest writer in the English language and he is part of the English culture. Everybody knows that he was a very important poet, playwright and actor and some of his plays are very popular around the world as Romeo and Juliet or Hamlet.

At school, we are celebrating Book's Day and it was compulsary including activities to know Shakespeare a bit more, working on his biography, discovering how he looks like, his work....

Moreover, we are from La Mancha, and Cervantes' main novel is Don Quijote de la Mancha. This novel has been translated to many many languages, and to English too, of course.
We couldn't forget this fact at school and everybody can read the popular beggining of Don Quijote in our stairs, can you say it??

WORKING HARD ON SCIENCE....

WE DON'T STOP LEARNING, SCIENCE IS PART OF OUR LIFE...

MAMMALS, MAGNETISM, FLOATATION... IT'S QUITE INTERESTING TO UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING AROUND US.

OUR 1ST AND 2ND GRADE STUDENTS ARE WORKING VERY HARD TO LEARN AS MUCH AS THEY CAN ABOUT THEIR WORLD.

World Autism Awareness Day

World Autism Awareness Day was celebrated at school on April 2nd.

Students know that every person is special and unique. Autistic people are part of their lives and they know these children only have a different way to see the world and with our help they are able to be part of our world too. 

1, 2,...... PLAY TIME !!

Once more, our students have enjoyed two English plays with native speakers.
This actvitity is already a tradition, and this year, "Once upon a time" and " D'Artagnan" have been the titles.

As usual, teachers have prepared the plays before, so students can learn and understand everything in the play.

Children could sing and participate in the plays, being part of the funny show.

EASTER!!!

We are lucky to enjoy Easter: chocolate eggs, bonnets, bunnies...

St Patrick's Day

Today is St Patrick's Day.
At school, children have been colouring rainbows to help Leprechaun find the pot of gold.

Have you seen the Leprechaun?? If you have had the chance, you are so lucky!!!

Let's watch The History of St Patrick's Day, it is quite interesting!!

From GOOSE to GOOSE...

Today, some students and teacher Carmen have been playing a very well known board game in Spain : 'EL JUEGO DE LA OCA', but using the ENGLISH language. (We can translate it as 'The Royal Game of Goose', but actually, it's not a popular game in the UK)

It's been really funny and students have learned at the same time.

You can play at home with your children, saying the names of the pictures, the colours... It's a very good idea to speak in English with them!!
